100 Mile Potluck
A celebration of local food and the people who grow and cook it.
- The purpose of the 100-mile potluck is to:
- Promote the use of local food
- Support Berea’s local farmers and producers
- Build community
- Encourage home gardens and edible landscapes
- Gather recipes and a list of local food sources
- Publish the Berea Local Food Recipe Book
The 3rd Annual 100-mile Potluck, July 26, 2009, drew 240 people for great local food, good conversation, and a live auction featuring re-skilling workshops (such as bread making and gardening)
The Berea Local Food Recipe Book with recipes from all three 100-mile potlucks is available at many local stores or through Sustainable Berea.
